Hi Rachael. Glad you are finally getting results from SS. I have a 55 year old son who applied and just got a letter saying the same thing. We think it may be just some paper work from the local SS office but not sure. He has a bad back and can only walk for a short time and has to sit, then he can only sit for a short while and he has to stand and stretch. My husband has the same problem and is also on SSD. Hope you get word soon. I will keep you in my prayers. Nan

I was thinking yesterday that faith is what keeps this list going.... there is no need to see the evidence (we are spread out all over the globe with connection through the Internet), we just keep adding requests when needed, as faith is the only evidence needed to know that prayers are answered and miracles do happen.
My dear friend Nina needs more prayers, where they placed her feeding tube last week, she now has a staff infection. It makes me madder than a hornet. How does this happen in today's world of medicine? She has enough to deal with already, she doesn't need this on top of her cancer. All your prayers are so much appreciated. thank you

Thanks for the update on Kevin and Philip girls. Rachel you are another one who comes to mind frequently for me which thru the years I've taken as a clue to pray. Glad to hear SS is progressing. I was so afraid of having to deal with that. I'm happy to report that the 4th shot has blocked the pain of the pinched nerve enough that I'm going back to work Mon-Wed-Fri starting tomorrow. And I'm hoping it is good enough to quickly get back to full time. I got the lift installed in my van on Friday so I'm a happy camper all way around. Thanks for the prayers all.

Patti I am so glad that you are able to go back to work at least 3 days a week. Please take it slowly though. Nerve blocks are great but those nerves are there for a reson so don't over do.
Happy My sons lil girlfriend has a horrible case of mono right now. It took them forever to diagnose. There were several false negatives. I hope for your sons sake it is just that simple and some rest and antibiotics take care of it all.
I am so relieved that so many of you kept me in your prayers. Even when I wasn't going on line. I was thinking for awhile there that I was going to be able to cut out some of those meds. I guess not right now. Soon though there is hope.
I just thought I would pass along my smile for the day. It sounded like this "Ovew ugh ugh" ; in translation love you love bug. Told to me by a 18 month old over the phone. maricles do happen she's one.

I forgot to mention about your friend with the staph infection. It iratates me to no end that it takes just 45 seconds to wash your hands prpoerly. while hand gel is good and in many cases better then hand washing (believe it or not). But there is no excuse for a staph infection in a hospital setting in my oppinion. Either someone is not cleaning machines properly or not washing hands properly. Especially if it is a site infection. Now there have been times when sterile items have been contaminated at the factory. I will be honest that has happened on more then one occassion. When I was a charge nurse if I caught an aide skipping out on washing hands there was no excuse. To me that was disgusting. So I feel for your friend I pray that it stays at staph and does not go any further then that. Rachel

Just talked to my Social Security lawyer and he told me that the non medical part was to make sure that I worked long enough to qualify for Social Security. Lord knows I have done that. I have worked since I was 16 on the books and most of thse years I have worked 2 jobs. So I guess yes I have worked enough.
I hope everyone is on the mend today. How is the staph infection coming? Happy how is your son?Happy Quilting,

Also, other daughter, Deb, is seeking employment (Elementary teacher) and a job might become available for long-term sub. Thanks to everyone.Lyndhurst, Ohio USA - East Side Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio
