So, how hard can it be to find Steam-A-Seam? My earlier post was done while waiting for my hubby to finish a report for a client. They were supposed to pick it up at 10:30. Then we were going to go to the chiropractor then stop and pick up some SAS. Well we left shortly after 11, got straightened out, got gas, went to Hobby Lobby, then to Hancocks. Took a break to get lunch, then went to Wal Mart. On our way to JoAnns, DH suggested the local Bernina dealer. Finally found some there. After a quick stop at the grocery store to buy something for dinner, we got home around 2:30. I'm finally up in the sewing studio working on my blocks. Pictures to follow in a day or so.

Sewed a couple more coping strips (aka small sashings) on some blocks yesterday. These were two different sets of blocks that I won two different months at the guild meeting. I'm putting them together using Sharyn Craig's method. I took a class from here last weekend. Will see how this project turns out. . .all I needed was to start another project. . .but, hey isn't that a fun part of the quilt process!

After two long weeks of dealing with Mom's health issues (she now has a nice pacemaker) and working a few shifts to help out at the local hospital, I actually have been able to do a bit more quilting on my Drunkard's Path quilt. It really felt good to sit at the treadle and make feathers.

Frances, I feel your pain. I also got started late, but was able to add more quilting to the adoption quilt.. Just thought it needed more. Son had 1/2 day school and kept distracting me. So I could't really do anything with his orca quilt. But..... Today I should be able to work on it after bowling. Cheryl

I finished another BOM and I think I have enough to put them together into the center medallion. I am using SMASHING SET by Margaret Miller for inspiration. She uses framing of the blocks to get them to float and get the sizes closer so they can lined up and put together.
I have an idea of using Ricky Timm's Rhapsody style to make the boarders. I am playing around with the idea right now in my head. I will see what happens when I get the blocks into the center medallion.
I may have to go back to square one at that point.

Awake at 0430 ( am) I should sleep more since I have over a 2 hour drive to get to my friends house to visit before a baby shower. I am looking forward as I have not seen Judy since last year. I should be sleeping but my eyes are awake.
I am going to sew the binding on a baby quilt my daughter has made. I am cheating and doing it all by machine but this will be a drag around quilt by my darling grandson. I am working on several baby quilts for the toddler bed. I want to be prepared for the future.

It's been really great being able to get some quilting done in the last couple of days. Feels good. I'm still plugging away on my Floral Frou-frou's outer border. I really should take a few days off and get some charity quilting done, though, and make some pillowcases for Christmas presents, and......my ADD is showing, LOL.
