Between yesterday and today, I got the "Angels" W/H top done. Now To get the backing and baste the little quilt, and do some quilting. I also did some more hand quilting on my "!2-Days of Christmas" red work quilt.

Well, yesterday I worked on grandma and I think I have her all figured out. Next step is thread painting, then quilting. I have posted a photo in my profile if anyone wants to see. Now today I really have to work on the baby quilt. I still need to make the small fan blocks for around the edge. Cheryl

What a dummy I am!! I thought this was either about a brand of thread or about a member here named Tilde.
Now that I've taken the time to read through it, I'd like to try a needle a day.
Right now I'm working on the binding for my guild raffle quilt so a needle a day won't be a problem.
I'm going to my quilting group this afternoon and I'm bringing the raffle quilt. It was supposed to be done several months ago but most of the hand quilting had to be pulled out and redone. Very long story and best told somewhere else. Now the guild is trying to rush me to finish the binding so they can take pictures and get the raffle tickets out. I'm doing the best I can and that's all.

No way Eileen -- your thought process makes sense -- I think I'm gonna win the "dummy" title on this one. The only thing I could think of when I was originally reading this thread was that since it seemed you were supposed to do a little something each day, the "Tilda" might be a shortened version of "until the..." Like 'Til da next time you post, do some quilting! Hey, I'm right outside of Chicago -- everything starts with "da" around here! Da Bears! :lol:
So anyway, I finished the master drawing of my next art quilt yesterday and got the fabric washed. I should have pictures in my blog later today.
Thanks everyone for the inspirational updates!

[size=150][color=darkred]Thanks Julie,
I would definately recommend the classes. There is a discussion for any questions and the teachers are very good at responding. Plus you get help and ideas from the other students from all over the world.
Bridget, you are just very clever in your thinking.

Yesterday was very productive. I cleaned and vaccumed my sewing room. Then I managed to sew the backing on my christmas tree wall hanging- luckily I had left small opening so it could be turned, my dd wants to make a pillow out of it, so when it gets a little closer she'll be stuffing it :wink: and I'll show her the running stitch.

Oh Cheryl, grandma is spectacular. Very nice. I am not going to finish mine by the end of class, I'm waiting on new fabric and I really do need to be able to work this not laying down. Working too close is hindering it greatly and I can't get away from the computer (which is on the floor so I can lay down and use it) because of needing to look at the picture and Marilyn's redo (teacher) that doesn't print off well on my printer.

Hey Patti,
I don't think grandma will be completely quilted by the end of class either. I really have to get the baby quilt done. The shower is Aug. 10th.... :shock: Your little guy is looking great. especially those eyes. Oh my what a ladie's man he is going to be. You could probably keep in contact with Marilyn after the close of class using her e-mail. Cheryl

I have been working on my Christmas quilts. I made two blocks this weekend. One by hand at workshop I went to and another by machine. I still have two applique blocks I have only partially finished. I started posting web shots. I am designing this sampler block as I go. I plan to have a random setting... but I am not sure yet.
