I'm so glad that it finally worked for you. I love the thread from Superior. The Bottom Line and So Fine are among my favorite bobbin threads. Thanks for sharing

Yipee! Just be sure to document everything! Hopefully you keep notes somewhere! I don't know about you, but if I don't do a technique for a few months, and then return to it, its like reinventing the wheel! I will have forgotten everything!

Yes Dawn, I have actually written it into the back of the sewing machine manual which I keep in a drawer beside my machine. I also now have a record of it on the TQS forum! It is now the new year here in Ireland so Happy New Year to you.

I'm not sure I'm doing this right but I need thread advice...usually I embroider with polysheen or Isacord or Floriani(which I'm not really fond of). I have a thick horse quilted "blanket" that goes under the saddle that I am putting a monogram on for a friends daughter. (it's sort of a spongy feel batting and the side that goes against the horse feels like a cross between flannel and suede? It looks like those prequilted fabrics you buy in the store but it has a heavier feel)
I was pulling thread colors and I have a metrosene that I like and I wonder if it would be more substantial on the thicker sort of bumpy blanket..I have sewn out a bunch of samples in the choices I didgetized for her but I used a polysheen color I rarely use for these samples. Before I bother to do it with metrosene I wonder if any of you have ever used it for monograms or any embroidery. I tried to look info up on the internet but I got lost in color charts and threads for sale! That's when I thought perhaps one of you might have experience with this.
