Well after some meditation time last night, I changed course, but just a little bit. I decided to continue using my present journal. There is a two page spread calendar for each month, a couple of pages for reflecting, then a page for each day of the week and Sat and Sunday always share a page. Sometimes there's another blank page at the end of the month before that next 2 page calendar. I had already used some of the pages in December a few months ago to list all of my projects that had been started. So, I just decided to progress forward with this one. I will use left side of the page for current bullets, and the right hand side for lists, etc. I spent about 3 hours this morning setting it up, but the peace of mind knowing it's all coming together in one spot is wonderful. I had to number all of the pages myself, but that was actually quite simple, only put #s on right upper corner unless I put a list on the other side.
I think I’m going to like this method. I’m probably going to use symbols that make sense to me. Like, M&M is for master bedroom bed made, clothes picked up and Me (shower, supplements taken, etc). SOAP is for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. That sort of thing. I’m glad that Eileen started this ball rolling!!

Hmm I haven't really decided whether to start recording habit forming things yet or whether when the box isn't ticked it would become a burden so I'm just going to ponder on that a bit longer. Probably exercise and supplements will be meaningful and motivating for me to start with. Did you put them on the monthly sheet or start another page for the chart Luann?

Well...wishing you all grand success with the journal keeping. Me...I'm not compelled to schedule things or activities.
But I'd love to follow along here and see what you accomplish! I might do a diary style..thought of the day...gratitude, thanks, etc.
kind of journal...maybe some quilting thrown in for good measure. I'll see if I can line out that much ! I've been given several nice
little notebook over the yrs...

Sorry some are upside down, others sideways, and you are all sworn to secrecy if you catch any personal info,,, lol

Last picture coming is my method of listing my projects.
            Yellow hi light means it’s On-going —- O.G.
Orange dot means it’s started, no matter how little!
Pink is what I use to cross out with as I progress through the project
When completed, #48, I write the month and if I give it away I note that.
Ignore the circles and lines by the numbers, I was counting things started, OG, TBS (to be started) one day and I had to have someway to not count anything twice.

On the previous post the color filled page is for tracking of my carbs, fat, and protein. And to be able to show my Doctor why my 'numbers' are better!!

Hope these help. Remember, I’ve been tracking and journaling for several years now, and I’m always tweaking it to fit the current 'season in my life'.

I started setting up my month yesterday, and did as much of my weekly as I could. So, here's what I've got so far. My Quilter's Planner doesn't have dailies, so I'm going to wing it.

I think the colour crossing out on quilt projects is a great system and saves keep writing out the different stages.
The inspirational quotes are a good touch. I could also jot down sayings I see that could be used on quilts.
                  Thanks again both.

By golly, I think we've got this!

And for anyone not setting something up right now, just keep an eye on us and make notes of what you want WHEN you decide to create your own method. It’s a very personal choice, and we all have great possibilities to share.

Here’s to a fun filled adventure for all of us!

Well, I've made a decision. I thought long and hard about it, and I'm going to use my Leichturm 1917. I'll just pick up where I am. I got a refund for the Quilters Planner, since it hasn't shipped yet

I didn't start my journal on August 1st - I've ordered a Leuchtturm1917 it hasn't arrived yet, (I'm always behind) however when it does arrive, I'm ready to start. Until then I'll read articles and take any advice offered. I'm looking forward to this as I love paper, pens, paint and pencils and keep lots of different notebooks with sketches, watercolours, poetry etc etc, a little bit random - probably a reflection of what is going on in my brain. xxx
