Fantastic news! I'm so happy for you Nancy. Your work is uber impressive and enough so that the judges have acknowledged that by giving you an award.

        Tears, tissues and...chocolate!

O Nancy! I am so happy for you! I have tears in my eyes too! "Tea for Two" is a beautiful piece and you deserve the win. I wish I could be with Dawn and her group to cheer you on. But know that all of us here at the retreat will be cheering from all over the world! Champagne and chocolates for all!!!!

Today I went to the quilt hoarder lady shop. I think I told some of you about it. It's called the Sewing Basket and it's in Prosser, WA. I went with my new quilt group that I'm cheating on all of you with. You can hardly walk around in this store as there is so much fabric. She has an old house filled to the brim, (even the bathroom is full of fabric!) and then a back building that has rows and rows of bolts of fabric 4 bolts high. It is so overwhelming! Here are some pictures of one of the batik walls.

She has 100s of bolts of food, Halloween, Christmas, 30's, modern, and so much more. It is amazing!

Then I came home and sewed more of my 4 patch square in a square blocks. All in all, it was a nice day. Especially topped off by Nancy's news.

          Hugs to you Nancy!

Geneva. You cheater, You! I want to cheat with you. And besides that I want to cry tears of joy for Nancy with you and all my other TQS friends. I guess it's okay if your cheater group cries with us if they are so inclined. I am sure they would understand.

Congratulations, Nancy. Almost makes me want to plan a last minute trip.
