RITZY... The "boys" are beautiful, as is your daughter! You have all been blessed! As for your Y block in your quilt, could you possibly put a wider sashing on the left side, to keep those points crisp? And then use that same width of sashing for one of your borders? I know you well enough, to know you are not going to leave it as is, so that would be my suggestion.
ROSEMARY.....thank you for sharing pictures of some of the quilts from the show! So much talent!
TERRIE.....love, love, love the quilt! It just has that special something! And, the quilting is great!
GENEVA......great iPad case! I finally found a magnet for mine, for a cover that will stay closed! And, your quilt will be really fun, once you lossen up a bit and just run with the wonderful scrappy feeling to it! I'm by no means an expert, but find that I try to hard for the matcha-matchy thing, when all I really have to do is relax and go with the flow. A glass of wine helps, too! :silly:
My DH and I took a mini vacation for a few days, to Spokane, Washington. It was a beautiful drive, and once we left the Flathead Valley, the air was clear. So, I'm back home now, and working on my small art quilt. I should be able to post a picture of it next week! Yippee!

What a treat to log in today - just browsed 81 messages and seen gorgeous quilts, blocks, fabrics, babies and so much more. Been away for far too long but hope next week can bring a bit of peace and quiet so I can try to collect my thoughts. Hard to do with the scatterbrain I've got but I will try so I can get my machines running again. They sit so quiet in the corner.
I did bring back some sweets so bring up a plate and a wet wipe so you don't get it on your quilt
I didn't even get to eat a single real one while away

Marianne those sweets look delicious. I'm imagining that inside the dark chocolate is a cherry in liqueur, or a sticky lime filling. Many years ago there used to be a chocolate called 'Lime Barrel' in one of the boxes of chocolates (I think it was in Milk Tray) and it was my favourite.
Best Wishes Pam

I've never tried making them myself but in the city where my father-in-law lives there is a chocolatier who makes/used to make these with a very crisp chocolate shell and it has been my special treat for years to get one while visiting. My mother used to take me when we visitied my grand-parents in the same city when I was a child. Although we have been twice this year to visit I haven't had the chance to go into the city centre hence why I brought these virtual ones back

So there I was, sewing some triangles in squares for a top based on Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice, having cut them with a ruler designed especially for the job. Since my layout needed some half width triangles in squares I carried on merrily sewing away just using the outside triangles shape  , when it suddenly occurred to me that I was sewing half square rectangles :woohoo: and I hadn't needed to buy another ruler :woohoo:, or do any complicated maths :woohoo:, or anything B)
Just had to share the discovery
Or should that read 'half rectangle triangles' ?

Oh Nancy, I am so very happy for you! And, you weren't sure you even wanted to go to the Winner's Circle Celebration, since you might have to attend it alone. Well, let me tell you, you will not be alone! You will be sitting with the best of the best! Other giddy gals, just like you! I will be with a group of four (I WAS going to invite you to attend with us) and we will be clapping and yelling for you when you go up on stage! And, be giving you a big hug after the awards, as you stand beside your quilt, and everyone is taking pictures and asking all sorts of questions! Way to go, girl! Enjoy the moment, and cry happy tears all you want!!!!
