It is an old clip frame that the front acrylic had got broken. So I discarded the acrylic, covered the hard board with a piece of wool suiting glued on the back, and then pinned the muggies to it. It balances on the top edge of the book shelves by it's hanging notch thingy on the back (and happily falls off if knocked even slightly)

Clever idea for your mug rugs!

I did it. . . .completed the April clue and with a few days to spare!

          I blogged about it here:

I have so enjoyed this mystery on so many levels. . .the pattern and the directions have been great. Most of all, I have enjoyed seeing and reading about your projects!

Thanks Terrie for a great quilt project.
I realized while looking over this what the finished size was going to be and sad to say, it would be much larger than the proposed spot for it. With that in mind, I opted to add three various sized borders to coordinate with my first borders that had a booboo in the cutting and had become two colors. Finished quilting it up last night with a meandering starburst flower and vine pattern. I used gold thread and I am in love with how it looks on the red and aqua fabrics. Today, if all goes well, the trimming and binding will be accomplished.

Lotti, beautiful pictures. I can see why you love the rain.
Sorry to say I have not finished the last couple of months on my quilt. Still planning on finishing. Today I have 2 grands here, finishing up invitations to a family reunion that is to be at my house in August. And have several gallons of peaches to put in the freezer, and 1 and a half of blackberries. I will finish my quilt before too long, I hope!

Here is my finished mystery coverlet.

Izzy (& I) picked a thick pile fluffy fleece throw for the backing ops: which did not want to quilt - no way, uh-huh! not happening this side of hell freezing over! So I settled on sewing all around the outside with a binding and a few strategically placed individual motifs towards the middle on some of the points. It now lives on her bed and gets taken out for 'sleepovers'.
