Annis, you and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers. My husband had the same two years ago with 'classic' symptoms -chest pain, vomiting and his colour was as grey as his hair. He is (touching wood) keeping well. We didn't have flooding to deal with at the same time, but it was very scary.
Best wishes to you and your husband

Annis, wishing your husband a speedy recovery. I must say, your strength is amazing, to have gone through so much with your husband's sudden collapse, flooding, preps for a retreat and your daughter's illness as well as managing two households... my hat off to you and wish you and your family well! I'm very glad for you that all appears to be on the upswing!

Hi Annis. My goodness, what a trek of seriously bad things in your life. I'm so sorry to hear, especially about your husband. I hope he gets better and better each day. You seem like the sort of gal who will find the silver lining in all this. I pray it will be sooner than later. You are in my thoughts and prayers for strength, healing and comfort.

Annis~ It really sounds like the right people were in place to make sure that your husband got the quick help that was needed! What a blessing! I hope things are calming down and drying out for you now so you can move on to the many things that are always on your agenda! Wishing your husband a speedy recovery.

Annis, I hope you are drying out, and everything is falling into place for your upcoming retreat! Wow, have you been through a lot! Wasn't it just a couple of years ago you were cleaning up after a tornado ripped through your neighborhood in Arlington?
And, I hope your DH is on the mend! Like so many have said, it happen to my husband, too! The hardest thing is keeping them from doing to much! Mine went on a grueling bike ride, and wound up back in the hospital! Dumb!

Hugs, my friend!

Dawn, the tornado was in 2012. A lot has happened since then. We're used to crazy weather here in the spring but usually there are more years between the really bad storms. Things are getting much better this week and we're having lots of sunshine. The quilt retreaters are arriving today and I'm trying to decide what to work on next. The cleanup from the flood is almost done. They're using a paint rig (with water) and a wet vac to clean the grout lines. It's working pretty good. Thanks everyone for your concern.
