I'm hanging by a thread............ hmy: I 'broke' my NYResolution, but I fixed it right away. :silly: I just clicked 'purchase' on a website that I love for Kaffe fabrics here in Canada. I didn't even realise it, until I saw the receipt in my inbox! I have cancelled it!

My oh my, how easy it is to get hooked when you are 'just looking'. I'd just better go and play with my new Featherweight.

      Nice block and fabric Annis!
Fun idea to register your featherweight Terrie! (Kaffe fabrics are hard to resist).

You're going to regret it. It will chew away at you until you go back and click. KF does that to you

Watch out Terrie. We quilters have a tough time wittnessing such will power. hmy: We will continue to try to tempt you in an effort to feel better about our own weaknesses.

Well, I DO intend to go in person to her shop when I am in Ontario this summer, near the end of June. I told the lady that I would rather wait until I could go in person, since it is a real treat to see such stuff, and she has a new location, which I am looking forward to seeing.
I kinda-sorta-wanna break my resolution then. It will have been half a year.

I'll need to practice on that mystery quilt, won't I?

Well, I got a little side-tracked. I did finish my 128 HST's first though. I had this stack of layer cakes that was waiting for an idea and I found it last night. This version of Lady of the Lake finishes at 10". I drew 3 evenly spaced diagonal lines on the light square starting 2-5/8" from the corner and sewed on both sides of the line. That is all of the sewing required for each block. The small triangles are cut oversized (3-5/8" on the short side) and were trimmed to 3" square. The large triangle was trimmed to 8" square. For now I will be abandoning this project until some others are completed. I just wanted to make 1 block for a sample to follow when I do the lap size quilt. The extra on the 2 corners will be saved for a future miniature quilt. I have lots of saves for miniature quilts. Maybe I should package them and give them away.

I really like your block and piecing - I purchased indigo a couple years ago for a Dutch tile quilt, I think it'd look great in lady of the lake blocks.

Annis that piecing is really clever. I think even I could do that (I am not known for my precision piecing!)
