Okay, my first finish for 2015 is just a pillow, but it was started and finished in the last week so that's good. This is my entry for the 2015 Free-Motion Quilting January Challenge:

The heart is quilted on a piece of Dupioni silk using FilTec Glide thread. The background is quilted using Superior Kimono #100 silk thread. I really like the background design, which I just made up as I sat down:

Wonderful Nancy I love the colour. Your feather heart is beautiful. I'm afraid I'm still working on paper but improving.

Your background is interesting, have you named it?

              Gridded McTavishing?

              Angel-Haired Pasta?

              Squiggly Triangles?

Do you see why I have a hard time naming quilts??? Not very creative!

Nancy, I love your heart. The background quilting is wonderful. It kind of reminds me of pennant flags blowing in the wind. I am not good at names either. Glad you got it finished for your challenge.

Nancy, how gorgeous! Did you do that on your sit-down or your domestic? Just amazing what you can do. Waaaaaaaaay more practice needed on my part.

Beautiful Nancy and the triangle McTavishing is beautiful too.

That was quilted on my Bernina Virtuosa 153.

So beautiful, Nancy--you ARE a master! Love what you did with both Glide and Kimono 100. Personally, I love Glide thread; have you tried Fil-Tec's silk threads yet?

Glide is my favorite quilting thread, hands down. I have some of their silk thread, but haven't done much with it yet. I'm sure I'm going to love it, too! I've had good results with their invisible thread, too. They are my favorite thread manufacturer, in case you couldn't tell.

Nancy, beautiful FMQ, After looking at yours I am going back to the practice pieces.
                                Another project well done.
