I began the quilt in the season of Advent and will continue to work on it until next year, most likely. The idea was abstracting the colors and candles we light each week. The fabrics were bought many years ago in a little shop in Asheville. Of course, it's like relearning all the stitches I've forgotten over the years. (And yes, it needs a border...soon!) It's about 15" x 34.

The beginning of my silk embroidery. The outside rings of the first 3 circles, since this was taken, I've added several more. Alex, I love the 2" grid design wall. I took your suggestion and used the back of the grid fabric with the lighter lines so it is less distracting. Loving this class.

I got into the bugs (and beads!). I needed something in the scalloped edge bubble and couldn't think of what would work ... until Monday's show. I added butterflies and flowers and it feels perfect!. I've also added some beads to them and a few other areas. I need to make a bigger bubble in the center yet that will be behind the others - it's looking a little bare there.

My circle sampler is at the framer, who is having a hard time getting the frame I choice due to supply chain issues. Doesn’t the world know we have projects we want completed! Finished landscaping another house today. Two more to go!
from the corners with the idea of putting a circle in the two corners with the branches coming out in a mirror image on both sides of the circle. I went ahead and put a sleeve and binding on it, but did
not hand stitch the sleeve down yet. I think it would look good. Don't know how hard it would be to embroidery on an already
quilted area. I think I am just anxious to get back to working on the BOM. Your comments confirmed my natural tendency to
put thing in the borders that are in the main section, to help your eyes move around the piece. Be sure to post a picture of
you framed embroidery when you get it back from the framer. HelenW
