I asked if it was really you, as it is 7am California time! and this person said it really was and she/he had good news to share with me. I also had a friend's facebook messaging account hacked and this sounded the same!! So I'm going to delete you Alex as I do not believe it is really you!! It says it is account alex_anderson739

posting your progress. I would like to use your ideas when I do mine, probably not til next summer. Did you put any stabilizer on the back?
And I really like the look of the thread you chose. Could you tell me the brand name and size? HelenWLast edited by Helen W.; 12-18-2021, 12:44 PM.HelenW

Thank you. I used Wonderfil Eleganza #8 Perle Cotton thread for the green chain stitched border. I used DMC Embroidery Floss for the flower and little blue flowers, 3 strands. I had never used the Perle Cotton before and I loved it. I'm afraid if I try the Perle Cotton for my flowers I may not go back to DMC and I have tons of it.

you comments you just click on the little camera here in the post box, You will see Upload on the bottom L corner, click it, and it show what you have on the desktop pick it and click open at the bottom. Then It takes a while while it say working on the screen
and it shows up. This is probably when more lengthy then most people, but it has been the only way I can get my pictures posted.
Once it is posted, you can click on the pictures and they enlarge while you are looking at them. Hope this helps. If any one
has a faster way, please help Suzanne out. HelenW
Were you able to try Barbara step from her post on photos?

that just seems a bit too thin and #5 that seems a little too thick, except I really liked it for the colonial knot stitch.
I found a great new way to separate my DMC floss strands. I cut a piece of floss, clip a Wonder Clip on one end and
then take a hold of 3 strands in one hand and 3 in the other hand and pull. The thread separates and the clips spins around quickly.
When the separation gets to the bottom you just unclip it. When I saw Alex put the thread in her mouth and pull with
both hands, it made me think, you just need something to hold the bottom. Try it. I have never seen it any where but I am
now using it all the time. HelenWHelenW
