Did a little chain stitch, back stitch, stem stitch and wrapping stitches. Looking forward to next class today.
Still getting tangles despite using Thread Magic and shorter threads. Would like to know if there is a good way
to undo the knots that just come out of no where. HelenW

Debbie (kemopuzzle) I like how you solved your fraying problem. Also like the narrow pink circles as accents on the background.
Your stitching does not look like a beginner. I have DMC 5 floss. Which stitches did you use it on? Your stitchinglooks great. HelenW

I’m attaching some photos as you requested as well as some Pennies I did over the summer. Hope this gives someone inspiration. As for my piece, my silk arrived from Sue Spargo, but I haven’t had time to work with it. Too busy finishing up Christmas gifts!
Thank you Carole!!! You always inspire me. Love your dark colored pennies. Your stitching is keeping me going. I am a want to be
hand stitcher. I have a feeling of trepidation every time I pick up my needle. Don't know why. Maybe because I feel so comfortable
doing applique and edge stitching by machine. But I am not giving up. I just want to be able to use it to embellish what I do by machine. HelenW

I love your fabric. It would be perfect for an under water scene. I haven't decided how much I am going to deviate from the original but I do want to make it personal. I have finished outlining the two inner circles and not sure where to go next.

What a wonderful hostess gift. You could do it by hand but it might take a little longer. I almost always do the stem stitch around my applique. It just seems to finish it.

I have done simple embroidery but I’m looking forward to learning new stitches. Instructions said to outline the two inner circles with a running stitch but I am using a chain stitch.
Sandy, After a deep dive into my fabric closet I found my pattern and Super Nova panel.
I am thinking I will do a mirror image of the half a tree on the other side of the flying geese triangles, and make the bottom half an under water scene. But by the time
I get to it, might totally change. HelenW
