My shades of gray are going to have black silhouettes that I do my embroidery stitching on in DMC floss. Everything is coming from my stash on this one. The silhouettes are raw edge fusible with steam a seam lite. Nothing fused down yet still thinking about placement. I have one print gray fabric that I wanted to include, but will need to play around with a circular shape that is appliquéd to the other background if I use it. May just go with this.
I am having fun and I have not even started stitching yet!!! HelenW

I just ran into her you tube channel last week and she is a wealth of information. ALL LEFT HANDED QUILTERS SHOULD GO TO IT FOR
A REAL VERSION OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE AND NOT HAVE TO MIRROR IMAGE THE RIGHT HANDED PEOPLE. HelenW

Making progress with embroidery on circles. Using stem stitch with purple Presencia size 8 thread. The background is a variety of Moda Grunge. I've been using Moda Grunge with my embroidery projects for the last 6 months. It's easy to stitch through and leaves an interesting shadowing. My background is 20 inches square. It could end up being a pillow, wallhanging, or used in a bag. We'll see! Happy Stitching, All!

I still haven’t received my TQS order. I guess it is in hold at the US / Canadian border. But I decided to try some embroidery on some of the fabric my friend gave me. I saw the blue as an aquarium, lol. So I decided I’d put a Koi on it. I finally got around to trying some embroidery, after fiddling with cutting around the fish for some of the day. I used the stem stitch, and DMC embroidery floss.
Here I also ironed down the piece where I embroidered it to erase the markings and flatten the fabric. I will try a hoop next time.
    I had fun!
Thanks Alex for this calm oasis, in my case I even have the water for the oasis, lol!
