Avatar not working?

I changed my photo in my account for TQS but it didn't show up in the Forum. So I went to User Control for the Forum and clicked on Edit Avatar. It says that this function has been disabled. So now it seems I can't have my new picture in the Forums. Is this correct?

Or is there some where else I am supposed to upload my picture to have it show on the Forum?

No idea, Michelle. Any IT stuff is a challenge for me. But I changed my picture successfully a couple of days ago. When you do it, the new one will only show up after a few minutes, so some patience is needed.

Michelle, did you do it through your profile page? That's where I usually do it. It says that it can take up to 24hrs to change but it doesn't seem to have ever taken that long for me.

If you changed it on your profile page, it will show up. Like Radar said: "Wait for it"!! :wink:

Yay! It worked! I guess in this age of instant everything, I was thinking it would be faster. It changed immediately in my profile but took about 4 hours for it to change over on the forum.

So sorry gals. Once it knew it was working, I edited my pic again! That took all night to finally show up here on the forum. I am now all set and won't touch my pic again for a long time! LOL

Thanks everyone! Last month my stepson got married at Plymouth Plantation, in MA. For those who don't know, it is a historical site located on the coast of MA, where the Mayflower landed and the Puritans lived. A lovely spot overlooking the water. I was lucky enough to have a decent pic of myself taken! My old picture was very dated -- I had been letting my hair grow out and last summer I got the new 'do and color and have been loving it.

Lorchen, Lotti, Marilyn -- Great new pics!! Lotti, it looks like you are an exercising queen! Lorchen, those missing stones are better left missing, you look wonderful! Marilyn, just be careful you don't stab yourself with those blades!

Anyone else want to put up a new pic??
