Does anyone chat anymore?
It used to be that I could hang out in the chat room for a few minutes and almost always someone would join me and chat. For the last month or so, though, no one ever shows up even if I hang there for 15 minutes or more. Does anyone else ever try to chat anymore? If so, when do you chat?

I try to remember to check the chat room when I log on to TQS but I too have not found people around. Once in a while I am lucky and get to chat with someone. Maybe if we set up a couple of times a day that would work for us we could log in at those times. I cannot always chat every day but usually two or three times a week I have the time during the day and often at night I have time. What times would work for you and I will see if that works for me. Snow, I've been thinking about your question as to when would be a good time. It's difficult to answer since I work, but in general, I think about 9:30 - 10:30 pm EST on weeknights, and maybe sometime in the middle of the afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays. I think I'll just start checking during those times several times a week, and see if others join. A good honkin' quilt chat with no worries as to spelling, grammar, or quilt police can be loads of fun!

I use to check the chat site before returning to the USA; I never found anyone in the chat rooms. Now I spend so much time blogging and reading blogs that I've totally forgotten to even look at the chat rooms. This is a good reminder; maybe you should mention it in a blog also. It seems everyone's into blogging and has forgotten chatting

The chat rooms are there, and it's up to members to make them active. Timing will always be an issue (we are a global community) and so will other commitments in our lives. For example, I only have time to check new members' blogs when I'm on holiday. I always check 'chat' when I log in, then go to 'daily blog', then to 'forum'. After that it's normally past my bedtime. Sooner or later there'll be somebody in 'chat' and I won't get enough sleep as a result.
