Getting used to this new site will take me ages, and I bet I'll shout for help a lot. And if I get really frustrated: I'll be in LaVeta in May and Ricky better hide if I haven't got used to everything by then.

Is your trip to LaVeta for a retreat? Oh wow... what a dream!!

Norma, there is such a lot I want to do and can't or can't find at the moment. Adding pictures is one of the things that's very similar to the old site. Try it!

Yes, 'she-quilts', they are my two little granddaughters (4 and 1). I retired on the 1st of October, so my daughter-in-law was able to go back to work. So, my new part-time job (2 or 3 days a week) is 'granny-in-charge'. Best decision I could have made. It's a lot of work but no more negative work-related stress. It's amazing!

I'm going to La Veta for a retreat in May with my three closest friends (all TQS members). I saved up for this trip for years, and can't wait to see if Ricky can tease out something amazing from this very average quilter.

Average? I don't think so! Beautiful grandchildren Lorchen. And if there is to be any teasing in La Veta I would bet that it will be the other way around.

Ha! Average! I'm sure you'll make something stunning and what if not... what an amazing experience!!

Darling granddaughters and what a joy that you can help out like this. I met a new friend last month and she makes 5 Year quilts with her granddaughters when they turn 5. I really want to do that... however, I'm waiting (not so patiently) for a son-in-law ............

Marilyn, I like your profile picture a lot!

My most pressing wee problem: I have clicked 'accept' in my profile in order to get my friends in my profile. But nothing has happened. At the moment I presume there is some sort of delay in it happening. But if John or Bob see this: I'm starting to get just an itsy-bitsy bit grumpy and impatient.
