I just went to Ricky's online store and it says that the option to buy the pattern and or kit is closed! I'm going to send them an e-mail, hopefully I will be able to buy the pattern.

Aww, they just got back to me and due to overwhelming demand, they are not going to sell any more patterns. bummer! I'll have to get out Ricky's Rhapsody book and wing it, I guess!

Kathy, I'm sure you can do it with your hands tied behind your back, and then your Rhapsody will be a 'Kathy Original'!

Hello Kathy, join the club... I was going to purchase the pattern, but decided that with the instructions on the show special and the DVD, I should be able to make my own pattern, possibly a simplified version because I really don't have the time for this quilt right now, and then see if I can make it with the instructions in the summer class.

Lorchen, I'm not so sure about the both hands tied behind my back . I just got through looking at the Rhapsody book. It will definitely be an original unless I copy one of Ricky's ideas from the book. I do have a very large stash of hand dyed fabrics, even one dyed at Ricky's studios.

Lotti, we'll just join in the fun along with those who bought early! There might be a few more of us who waited and couldn't get the pattern/kit. I might lag behind, too.....

When I followed the original link posted for the kit, it didn't work. Going to http://www.rickytims.com works fine for me. Sadly due to high demand the kit is no longer available.

In case anyone hasn't figured this out, this Summer BOM is a RICKY TIMS INC endeavor - and nobody should contact THE QUILT SHOW via their contact us page for Ricky Tims INC queries. They should contact the link on the Ricky Tims website. http://www.rickytims.com/

Well I'm joining you Lotti and Kathy. The rhapsody quilts have fascinated me for a while and those shows are available now as well so I've drawn a pattern up using show one and am going to make an Egyptian Rhapsody, block of the month quilt  I'll see if I can post pictures of my plan.

What are you two planning, are you going to try and sketch the kit quilt?

Wendy, I'm not sure. With the book and a couple of Ricky's Rhapsody applique supplements, I ought to come up with something good. Right now I'm on UFO finishing push- making great progress but will soon need a new project. This week I may do some prelim sketching.

There's no rush we've got until 21st July before the next lesson. I just got on with it today when I felt inspired and I just didn't feel like working.

Wendy, your sketch look good. When I click on the photos they turn the right side up.
Do you use a smart phone to take pics? I discovered that if I turned it another way when taking a photo, the computer would see it upside down, so I know now how to hold the phone to avoid it.
Thanks for showing your project. I am tempted too, but I have to finish my 2011 BOM before starting a new big project.
