1001: Susan Cleveland...TQS just keeps on giving

Today I watched both Susan Cleveland's TQS appearance and Sarah's 2012 BOM great first video. I'm just posting here to say: Thank you all! I am amazed at just how TQS continues to put high-quality shows and videos out for our instruction and enjoyment. I was never interested in doing prairie points until today, and I think her mitering method has solved a design issue for me for one of my ideas. What a fabulous resource this site is and you all are doing a wonderful job.

DITTO!! big time. I was really considering not rejoining this year for a variety of reasons and this, as Alex says, "knocked it out of the park." LOL I also have enjoyed the shows, but I LOVED this one and Susan's obvious pride in the work she loves to share with others. I was lucky enough to be in the audience the first time and she is a lovely person and, of course, very talented. I also never really considered prairie points, but they were awfully cute and the mitering method will definitely go into my tool box. I will also probably purchase the book. A must have.

Happy New Year, Sharon in Colorado

I really enjoyed this show, too. In fact, this is an example of why I joined TQS - I love these shows where we learn real techniques that we can apply in our quilts. I haven't been buying the videos for a while; but if there were more shows like this, I would start buying them again so I can watch the demo over and over.

Sherry, unless there is an issue with your ISP (slow speed?) you are able to watch any show you want as often as you want because you've kept up your membership since the beginning! Just click on WATCH SHOWS> PAST SHOWS on the purple bar and navigate to the one you want to see!

Thank you, Margo. You know, I actually know that but it never even crossed my mind for when I am going back to look for techniques. Can you see me smacking myself alongside the head right now? :-)

TQS is just like a magazine subscription in that you have access to every issue (series) that you buy....
except we don't have a stack of old magazines taking up valuable space in the sewing room!!

They've gone back and improved the video quality of all the original shows too. I've been watching them a little at a time...it's a fantastic resource.

I would watch this show over again just to enjoy the bright smile and the great giggle of Susan Cleveland. She did bring prairie points up to a Whoo Hoo level. I may have a play day with points some day. By the way - I am having my new Innova Longarm installed as I sit here typing. I needed to do something to keep from hovering over these two industrious men. I am sooooooo ready to play with my new toy. Betty Ann

They just left and I played for a while. What a great stitch!!!! So light weight and manuverable. Margo, I got the rulers you suggested, I will be trying them out tomorrow. I am still all thumbs but I will Practice - Practice - Practice. I am a happy camper. Betty Ann
