My thimble mystery and show 601

I can't tell you how grateful I am for show 601. I not only love it when Jinny Beyer is on but she solved my thimble mystery!!!!!!

I have this fantastic Lacey Heart thimble that I got at IQF in Houston a long time ago. I had no idea who made it. No matter what thimble I try, it ends up in a drawer. I always go back to my Lacey Heart thimble. Now I know who made my thimble thanks to TQS.... TJ Lane!

I recently turned my house upside down because I couldn't find my thimble. I was devastated knowing I couldn't replace it. I have a doxie that steals my things and I was hoping Ben had taken it from the table. He doesn't harm things he just hides them in his bed. So I wasn't worried if Ben had lifted it. Ben was innocent........ I found the thimble safely in a drawer in my sewing room. I had forgotten I had put it away.

    Whewwwww!

I have two of her thimbles - "the alexandra" - imagine that?! LOL. I purchased one WAAAYYY back, loved it, then thought I lost it. So I purchased another one and guess what showed up - the original one. When I teach with it I tell people that I have a metal detector at the door.

I bought one of TJ's thimbles this past summer when I was visiting the quilt museum in Lincoln, Nebraska. I had a hard time justifying the cost for such a small item even though it is really like a small piece of art. Not anymore! I love this thimble and would be willing to pay even more for it now that I have one. It really is true about using good quality tools. Between my Dovo scissors and TJ Lane Thimble, I'm ready to buy a Bernina when the time is right.
