    Show # 411

Thank you very much, TQS Team, for such an informative, interesting and moving show!

Lorchen -- Mary Kay, Dana and I were in that audience and we all bawling like babies after the piece of quilts to service families. Mary Kay was in the Navy and my DS is in the Air Force, but all the women in the group were crying. It really was a nice show.

I really enjoyed the show very much. I had heard of several of the groups, but not all of them. Quilters really are amazing people. I've also put that book on my hubby's list for my birthday. Sandi in FL

Sharon, I have no military connections in my generations, but I can understand how strong our feeligs can be. My grandfather's younger brother was killed in WWI when only 19 years of age. Some years ago I managed to find his grave in a small village in the North of France. Visiting that cemetary was very emotional for me, even though I never met my great-uncle. If I could find out who is looking after those graves I'd happily hand over a quilt.

I'll now have to go back to the programme and see if I can catch a glimpse of you, Dana, or Mary Kay in the audience.

Lorchen == the back of Dana's head is at the beginning when Justin is doing the intro, the long, salt/pepper hair in a pony tail. I am right next to her, but out of camera range. We also were at the show with Sue Nichols and I am wearing the bright peach sleeveless top. I am right next to the lady that asked a question at the end. We had to change chairs. Dana and Mary Kay are down from me.

          Hugs across the water, Sharon

I really enjoyed that show, too--I became very teary-eyed about our dear military people and their families. I have a pattern for Home of the Brave and will be making blocks to take to my next guild meeting. I want to watch the show again and I'll be looking for you gals! I have to have that book, too!!! Sharon, I have my ex-SIL staying with me for a few days (doesn't quilt). She was wondering what I was doing and so I truthfully said: "I'm looking for pony tails and peachy tops." I better explain to her later so that she doesn't think that I've lost the plot.

Lorchen -- Ok -- my family already knows I have lost my mind so it's too late for me. Also I re-watched Show 402 with Sue Nichols. Right after the segment on the Treasure Chest we are clapping and you can see my top, but you get a good view of Dana clapping. She is in a red/black print top, its a quick shot of her. That was a fun show.

Have fun looking. Are you getting anything done today, but of course it's your evening by now. I think. It's 9 a.m. here.

                  Hugs again, Sharon

This is one of the many reasons I am so proud to be a part of the quilting community. Was it just me...or did anyone else have to reach for the tissues when that dear woman was talking about her daughter and the quilt they made for her??
