I had always though that the kaleidoscopes looked far too complicated to do. Thanks for setting me straight Ricky. This show was awesome and has inspired me to get the DVD and start a quilt. Maggi 8)

I bought Ricky's DVD last Sept and recently made a KK. It was so much fun and not hard at all. Choosing fabrics seemed to be the hardest part. I pulled batiks from my stash and I love my quilt. Posted in my show and tell.

This show was awesome. I had to call me mom (wintering in Florida), she loves kaleidoscopes. She played with them as a little girl. The end result - I ordered a DVD and see a quilt in her future.

Wow, what a great show. I liked hearing his thought process re: his older pieces. Almost like a journal.

And, YES, I loved the Kaleidoscope process. He made it understandable and exciting.

Will definitely be ordering this afternoon.

2009 is getting pretty busy for me

Ricky, you are an artist in every since. Loved the whole show. The after set was a nice surprise. What an eye!

I loved the show. Once again, Ricky proves what a wonderful teacher he is. I have already made one KKQ and now I want to make another!

It really IS just as easy as he makes it look and so exciting when it goes up on the design wall! The only problem I had was with the very center. I have sewn a little cluster of beads to hide it. Quilting it was alot of fun. Finding motifs to go around and in and out of the designs. Definitely one of my favorite quits!

I wish he had a video for Rhapsody.....

I have the DVD and love it... I have been collecting my fabrics ready to get them going....

In the show does he mention how to make changes to the strada ... he said he would discuss it in the DVD but never does. Just wondering cause the question has been driving me nuts...

I have my Kool Kaleidoscope on my quilting machine ready to be quilted but cannot make up my mind what I want to quilt on it. I went to sleep last night thinking of what to put on it.
I am leaning towards a spider web with a spider quilted someplace within the web. My quilt is on my profile under show and tell. I am either using black thread or silver to quilt it with. Maybe some crystal on it to represent dew drops on spider webs.

The show was nothing but "AWESOME" I'm sure down the road when I make one while picking fabrics as I do I'll be one that says but I don't like mine!!!LoL but I'll work with it as I go along. I love all the kaliedoscopes quilts done by all of his students he taught in class and his new sound track was beautiful to. I'm learning way to much to quickly,I can't make them all when I want because I wanna make them all now!
Thanks Alex & Ricky for another great show.

I will have to look at my KK video tomorrow to see what changes to the strada Ricky is talking about. I have been working on my Feb. BOM this evening. I have all the four patches made and hope I can finish it tomorrow.
I am also going to the bead shoppe here in town and see if they have E-bead droplets for my KK quilt.
Going to bed it is later than I thought it was.
