    Episode 304 – Appliqué and Long-arm

Am I the only one that is having a hard time waiting for August 18!!! :?

I hate to wish away a week, but I'm having such a hard time waiting for this one. I couldn't sleep last night and was thinking about the show at 3 a.m.

I can hardly wait to see how TQS was able to combine Sue Garman & Merrily Parker in one show! I'm sure it is going to be awesome!

Sorry, I don't have time to worry about this one since I've got so many projects underway since joining TQS, I don't have time to THINK! LOL

Okay, this post reminds me - did you all read Suespiecefulpatch blog of August 10 where her head is exploding because of TQS? Who would think a web site could fill so much of our lives!!! Maybe we need a 12 step program :-) But I don't want to recover from my addiction!

Ha ha ha! She's right. That is a great blog entry! Once in a while I'm reminded that I have another whole life separate from quilting and TQS. But only for a moment!

But honestly, that is part of the 'magic' and 'lure' of this web site - the challenge and stimulation it provides to all of us who frequent these pages - it's a way to share our craft, stimulate others, encourage each other, learn new things (and there is something new to learn several times a day if we keep reading.)

I can't imagine my day without it anymore!

Sorry to the originator of this thread..............we got a little off topic - but the good news it's one day closer to your being able to watch the newest episode! 8)

I knew I was impressed with Sue Garman with what I've seen on-line and on her web site, but I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY with her in person in today's show!!! What an awesome lady!

Just finished watching the show and it was wonderful.

Do you think the Rodeo quilt was created the traditional way and then the horse and rider were appliqued on top. I've seen this type of technique done before (I think the last one I saw was a beautiful cat that was appliqued on top of a tradional block), but I've never known for sure how it was accomplished. The results are simply superb though.

I also enjoyed watching the long arm. If only little construction fairies would come in the middle of the night and build on a room that would allow such a beast to come home with me, I'd be all set!

If we all make that Lilly Rosenberry quilt, we can all be in the funny farm house sucking our thumbs while somebody ELSE quilts our quilt!

I'm not sure but I don't think they let us have sharp scissors when we go there!!! LOL!!!

I just watched the show. I knew I was going to love it. Sue is just marvelous and Oh my 20 quilts a year! I do berries the same way and used to do the bias bar strips and got reminded by watching her do it that it really is a good method. Well looking forward to tonite's chat.
