Little Scraps of Magic
This looks like a great idea and I thought that it would do well to have a thread for it.
Before I get started on it I need to stitch out my machine stitch 'bible', but it gives me a format to aim for and then put altogether.

I have done stitch bibles for my sewing machines and I have to say that it is so much better to use some sort of stabilizer rather than just starch for this. You want the stitches to look as good as possible and I think a stabilizer makes them look their best. I used an iron-on stabilizer so that I didn't have to worry about pinning the stabilizer in place and it worked really well. And whatever fabric you do choose to use you should make sure your thread really contrasts well with it so that all of the stitches will show up properly.

Rita, your advice is very good. I used Rickys stabilizer for mine and on the first I did not use enough contrast for the thread. It's annoying when you have to put it under strong light to see the stitches

Rita, Thanks for your good advice.
I had to do this for a while now, (when I need to find a stitch, it's trial & error right now - so I have a few scraps here and there with stitch numbers and specifications on it!)
Didn't know if I would do the business card size or the full page - I think the full page has more room to make changes to settings after the default one. And it's less tedious work (to cut to size, and put it in the sleeve).
Ah! another project!

Rosemary, this is a great thread. Having company coming for sewing today  someone had to clean up the "studio" (eh hem choke cough) and found a bunch of samples that need keeping, but what to do with them? I'm thinking a big album with sleeves would fit the spot and then, what in the world was I thinking with a bolt of Timtex?
I'm looking forward to seeing what ya'll do with this.
