Thank you! The sashing is going to be the same ivory/cream background fabric Rita. I'm hopping to achieve a 3 D like effect, where the printed/colored fabrics on the blocks will "pop out". Let's see how that works

Had a bit of fun last night, I showed my blocks to a friend who has started patchworking, and she was saying 'ah, look at the little squares' to the 6" blocks - then I showed her the 1" blocks, that just about 'blew her doors off' 8)

By the way I am trying to get her to join us here at TQS, but haven't seen her here yet.

That is ok, I have already passed her on one of my 6 month free memberships, just it doesn't appeared to be redemed yet :? although she says that she has signed up.

Here's the block I added to my sampler. Still have to sew 4 more but, I really like how they turned out and couldn't wait to share. I had to draft the block to make it rotary cutter friendly, since I don't like paper piecing

Nice blocks, Limbania! I like how the center crosses will really pop. And what care to keep the bats right side up!

                              Love that block !!

All my blocks are done and arranged on the design wall as they will be sewn together. I placed a piece of the focus fabric along side some of the blocks. I am thinking of using it for a border with no inner border separating it from the main quilt. I am liking the triangles poking into the quilt from the border and it makes the blocks look as if they are floating on it as the background. About a dozen of the blocks are still on the foundation paper for the borders. That's TV time work so I may go onto PIW (Projects-In-Waiting). I have one I would like to get off the design wall so that I have room to get the other Laura Nownes sampler quilt up there. Remember I was going 2 ways with color. I was loving the other colors from the start. This one was a color challenge, but I am liking it more now.
