I also was charged for the 'free' class - Art Quilting 101, but seems like I'll get the same answer that Rtizy got. I will cancel it it's not free. Probably will sign on later. Their classes are very good, though.
Love everyone's quilts.
Still have ongoing conversation with Bob the Techie to find out why I cannot upload my pictures.
I guess he's home for the weekend.!

Ritzy, I did got a free class but I've never taken a class from them before. I also signed up for Cindy Needham's class and only paid for it, Art Quilting 101 was free. They both were on the same invoice.
Rita, if you've never taken a class before you should contact customer service, you might be able to still get the free class since you only signed up for Cindy's class today. You can mention how it worked out for me, my user name is same as here: Limbania55. Hope this makes sense and it works too

I have really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful quilts being made. BJ, loved your bag too. I finished my sashing last week, and finally took some pictures today. I still have to find some border fabric. I have some here, but it is earmarked for a special quilt. I am trying to get the picture here, but it is not working. I will try again.

When I heard about the free class, I went straight away to the Craftsy website and signed up for Art Quilting 101. Then, I got an invoice saying 'thank you for your payemnet" I wrote to tell them that I had understood that is was supposed to be free. Then I read Ritzy's post, and figured I just didn't read carefully enough, that it was for new members only. Well, a gal named Kate wrote back and confirmed that it was for new enrollees. However, she said, in this case, since I was expecting a free course, she would make an exception and give it to me free! She told me they have a campaign on right now to get 10,000 new members and then they will send 2500$ to a Children's Charity. I think they have excellent customer service, and if anyone hasn't taken a class with them before, I would suggest signing up for one of the free classes. This would be great for you, but also help them meet there campaign objectives, which will (of course benefit them), but also a good sized donation to help children. Check it out.
Now I have 3 classes I've signed up for on Craftsy, following the sampler class with Laura, and there is a new class coming up next week on fusing, so TQS is keeping us as busy as we want to be.
Still trying to get my photo uploaded. Sashing not done yet, and not sure about a border because I used my stash only.
Got my passport yesterday, so they should let me into the USA for Houston Show!! Hoot Whoo!
