    Thread painting class

I took Nancy's thread painting class a couple years ago when she came to our guild. I've not done much quilting lately as I've just not felt like it. I watched her recent online classes and the little tree just spoke to me. When I first saw her solitary tree I realized that was how I was feeling, bleak and creaky and lifeless. I started making it on a very plain, subdued backing and hated it. I dug around in the stash and found what it needed. I don't like feeling that way and didn't want the tree to be that bleak. I'm also feeling better and not as creaky....6 shots in my lower back and am more functional and a lot less pain. Fingers crossed that it lasts a while!! I still have a couple things I want to add to the wall hanging to finish it up. I like embellishing and have a few ideas, but, had to place an order. If you have not tried thread painting yet...do so. Its fun!! Sandi in FL

Sandi, That is lovely. Is this your own dyed fabric? It sure does make this tree look happy!

O.K. I have just started to watch the thread painting classes. I mean if I haven't perfected my machine quilting why would I try to thread paint. Well I love what she is doing and I am going to try. Who knows maybe I will be better at this.
Now my question is this...where are the pdf files? I did find them on her web site. Is that where we were supposed to find them? I was thinking there were here on TQS. She probably said where in the class and I missed it.

I was surprised that you couldn't see the pdf downloads, but sure enough we had a technical glitch. Webmaster Bob sent me a note that all is now ready to go. Give it a try and let us know if there is any more trouble.
