The circles with the lines will turn red when there is a new post. I went through and marked all post read and the next time i go on I will be able to find the newest posts. Make sense? THere is also a star on the circle if you leave a massage. Cheryl

You don't have to scroll through looking for red flags! It may take a few days for the kinks to work out, but this is gonna be good!
Then, you can click on the little icon to the left of each forum topic and it will take you to the first unread post that has been made since your last visit and you don't have to scroll through the whole topic (either from the top or the bottom!) to see all the new comments! Cool beans!

Hello Everyone,
Because of converting from a previous forum version, there have been a variety of behind the scenes issues regarding permissions and dates of last visit, so I've had to clear out people's preferences and start over a few times today by rebuilding the user records. I've fixed the issues but this would have caused signatures and/or time zones to be rewritten.
Sorry for any inconvenience and I do appreciate everyone's chiming in and support. I think most of the major things have been smoothed out.

Obviously not quite (giggle), but I'm halfway there. I picked 'Full Editor' and then ticked the box 'attach signature' under 'options'. I now have to work out how to get that signature right because I must have messed that up in my profile...... Ah well, I'll never be a computer wizard.....

Question for Bob, seeing that we are in some sort of 'soft phase' according to John (something to do with food shops).....
At the moment I can only put a signature on a message if I click on the full editor and the 'attach signature' option. Is there a way to set myself up so that the signature is added automatically every time I post a message? From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood

Lorchen, that is a great question! Please sent it to Guru Bob through the "Contact Tech Support" link at the top of the page to make sure that he sees it.
I've sent him a note about being able to link directly to members' TQS profiles by clicking on their avatars like we could do in the old forum. I miss that feature, but generally, I'm really liking the new set-up!

I'm having an exceptionally clever day! I worked it out. There is a section about 'preferences' and under that you can set what you want in conncetion with your posts. This should now put that signature on every time without me having to jump through any hoops (not much fun at my size and age).
