    Is the search feature broken?

Since yesterday, when I log in and access the forum and click on "new messages since last visit", I get the following error:

You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while.

Doesn't matter how long I wait, or how many times I try.

    Have you "Tinkled" today?

I have this happen when I move too quickly. I usually go back one page, hit the reload button on my browser then can click on "new messages since last visit" and get to the new messages.

If I don't reload I'll get the "You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while" continuously.

I've found that happens only after I've read any "comments" posted on the Daily Blog.

Oh well, whatever it was, it's working fine again today, not doing anything different. Must have been gremlins

I have found the same thing as Teri. When I am moving back and forth too quickly, I will get the message. I just wait 15 seconds and try again and it works the second time.

I haven't visited in a couple of months. I logged in, clicked the forum link, then clicked on "new posts since last visit", and get the same darn error, that I can't perform a search so soon again. I use Firefox as my browser.

CJ, try google as a browser...I haven't had that problem since I switched.

CJ I use Firefox also and have no problem using "posts since last visit" I have gotten that message if I try to bowse too fast. Be sure your last search or view has finished before you click on "posts etc. I don't have a Mac but I don't think that should make any difference seeing that we both use Firefox. Hope this is of some help. Nan

It doesn't matter if I haven't searched. That feature just doesn't work for me period. I just tried it with Safari as well, and the same thing happened. How weird!

CJ, I've had it happen to me on occasion when I use my aol directly. Sometimes I would use the history option to browse my usual sites, but only when I use my desktop not my laptop.

I hope you find a resolution soon. Have you contacted our TQS WebGuru about your problem?
