I had a doll quilt ready to be quilted and tried the Halo. I did several feather patterns completely freehand, I am far from good at this, but I am very pleased with the results. I get to check off another UFO after I get it binded using Sharon's binding technique

(rubber bands??? Double sided tape???). Would it possibly work the same. Hmmm... the inventer in me is intrigued...

I wondered the same thing...but the halo looks like it might have some weight to it. it is a fair price tho, considering what we pay for most quilty stuff.

yes, the Halo has enough weight to help hold it in place, yet it easily glides to another area of the quilt when you are ready to move on. It is really easy and comfortable to place your fingers on the Halo to help it glide. I feel it is totally worth its cost.

I just finished some potholders and thought -- what the heck -- might as well try the binding instruction that Sharon does and it was FABULOUS. Oh my goodness, I have never had such a pretty binding, and I even made it around a heart shaped potholder perfectly with absolutely no pinning or struggling. Don't forget to use the spray starch at first because it really does seal the sides together so that there is no slippage.

Sharon is a person that I would really enjoy meeting in person. You can tell she loves teaching and sharing. And, I think she must dream of inventions in her sleep.
