    The Halo

I received my Sharon Schamber Halo yesterday. I can't wait to give it a try.

Has anyone else used the Halo? Let us know what you think of it.

I was just playing with the Halo. Wowsers! It really does help the quilt glide under the BSR. I am still new at using the BSR but the Halo is a great tool.

Judy, I've considered the Halo several times and wondered if it really worked. Thanks for the info. One more thing I can't live without! :-)

I ordered one and it came last week, but I didn't have a quilt ready to work on right then, so I grabbed some scraps, made a little sandwich and tried it out. This thing is going to be GREAT!
I had tried something similiar several years ago, but really didn't like that one, but I think that Sharon's is worth the money! It's heavy (the other one wasn't), it's a full circle (the other one wasn't), and it actually grips the fabric (the other one didn't). I'm looking forward to trying it on a full size quilt!

Sherry, you must go and purchase it now because it is fabulous. I was amazed at how well it works. It is kind of tacky and really hugs the quilt.

                I love it!

that looks pretty darn cool...I have stayed away from gadgets when so many turn out to be "not so great". but this is going on my shopping list for the paducah show.

I'm a sucker for new gadgets, especially if someone else has used it and loves it. So....I ordered a Halo and also one of her feather patterns. I just can't seem to get the knack of doing feathers freestyle!

When I first started learning FM quilting, I actually put my quilt into an upsidedown embroidery hoop. It made it SOOOO much easier to move, but of course posed problems for quilting larger areas or moving to other areas of a quilt, so I gave up on it pretty quick. This Halo looks like one half of a rubberized embroidery hoop!! I bet it works really well, and I might just have to order it, but I wonder - what if I took half of my embroidery hoop and put some sort of tacky thing on it (rubber bands??? Double sided tape???). Would it possibly work the same. Hmmm... the inventer in me is intrigued...

Wow, I want one of those, too. I've been intrigued by her little circles and wondered how she did them. Maybe now I can finish some of my UFO's.
