Here's a website that may help with your UFOs:

    http://www.americanheroquilts.com/

There was a post on another list that they are in dire straits for quilt tops, etc.

    Thanks,

OK , I have to chime in. I have quite a few UFOs but I try to stay on top of things. Right now I'm working on a hand-quilted job that started about 4 yrs ago. I am nearing the end - yippee!
        My list:
        1. Hand-quilted snowball & nine-patch
        2. 3 - pc. stained-glass nativity (is that 1 project or 3?)
        3. Double- wedding ring, queen-size, that my quilting group talked me in to doing with them; not even completely cut out yet
        4. Kaleidescope quilt, again the idea of my quilting group; top finished, needs to be sandwiched & quilted
        5. Baby quilt for new grandson
        6. Just received the kit for TQS BOM!

I'm not counting any patterns or fabric purchased because I want to do it "some day." I have a quilt friend who seems unique: she not only finishes everything she starts, but she also refuses to have a stash! She buys only enough fabric for each project. Have you ever heard of such a thing? She takes a lot of ribbing from the rest of us.

Not having a stash just seems wrong. I realy believe in the concept of "to each his own" and admire someone who is that disciplined but...It seems to me that not having the stash would limit those creative impulses. Just my opinion. Gloria in southeastern WI

Gloria, how do you know about Bayfield? I'm ashamed to say I have to ask where North Prairie is located. I'm suspecting the east side of Wisconsin; I like to think I know the rest of the state pretty well. I've lived in Wisconsin most of my life, but now we are leaving for a home in NW Arkansas. My DH can't stand the long, cold winters anymore. We still have family "up north," however, so this will be a difficult move for me. Sorry to the rest of you, I know this has nothing to do with quilting...

Oops, just read your reply more carefully - SE Wisconsin. My DIL is from East Troy, near Milwaukee.

Linda, we live about 12-15 miles from East Troy ( north of it). We moved to North Prairie from Winchester "up north". Used to visit Bayfield every so often. Gloria

Judy, I love your BOM'S done up in Ricky's fabric--stunning!!! I'm doing mine in many different batiks for a scrappy look. I'm working on the March block. Congrats on finishing some WIP's--I still haven't counted mine yet. But I do want to seriously finish some of those this year. Right now I've got to get a baby quilt made and finished before May 7th--My son & DIL are having a girl!

Here I am again...I just recently joined Carol Doak's Yahoo group so that is one more thing for me to do. Just finished her March BOM that I'm going to use as one of the blocks in a lap robe for VA hospital. Also working on Quilts of Valor. And the TQS BOM. And another BOM at my LQS. And I still haven't quilted my first convergence. Golly, there must be more I can't think of right now. Oh yes, I knit for Toasty Toes (going overseas to servicemen) and Prayer Shawls. That's while watching TV and DVD's.

Congratulations!! May is just around the corner. Our grandbaby isn't due until October and that feels like forever. We don't know what sex it is yet.

Judy, you are inspiring me to get busy on my UFO's, too! You are doing great!!! I haven't counted mine, but I know I have some from the 1980's. I have alot of finished blocks that need to be assembled into tops for quilting. Now that I'm learning machine quilting, I think it's all possible. I'll save the special ones for hand quilting. (I'm no Sharon Schamber! )
