Terry, I've so enjoyed reading about your trip. Thanks for sharing. I did my usual weekend blog post. I am having a harder time keeping up my weekend blogposts because I am not sharing any more of the making of my son Ken's quilt until it is finished and entered into a show, but I'm keeping pictures and notes along the way so I can share the making of it after that. If you've been following along, I was trying to solve the problem of not finding dark green cotton/Silk Radiance for the outer border, so I tried polyester satin. To my surprise, I have found it to work well in my testing. It embroiders well, it paints pretty good, though not as nice as Radiance, it looks great for the Celtic knots, and it actually even quilts well with a double bat (80/30 thin bat on the back and wool on the top. I do have to be more careful about making sure the satin is evenly quilted, because it does not shrink at all, so no extra pouf can be steamed out. Anyway, here's the link to my blog from today: My Blog Cheers, everyone.

                                Hi all -
I got my IQA silent auction quilt finished. Yea!! It was a fun quilt to make, but I'm glad to be finished so I can get back to my other projects. Christmas will be here sooner than we expect! If interested, you can read about the quilt here.

                                Thanks!!
