Pfaff thread out message
In case anyone has an old Pfaff like the 7570, I found out how to get rid of the error message when you try to sew with no thread in the needle. (like when marking golden threads quilting paper). I googled it and someone had the answer. It's in the manual, believe it or not!
You select the straight stitch, press the info key, press a right arrow key and the error display options pop up on the screen. How long have I had this machine? 10 plus years. Oh well, better late than never. I don't know if the newer Pfaffs work the same way, probably not.
Kathy
PS My Janome 6600 doesn't have such a sensor and doesn't care if I don't have thread in the needleTags: None

I think my Pfaff Creative Sensation will tell me there's no thread, but will let me dismiss the message and operate the machine anyway. But I have yet to try it! Just something I think I remember from reading the manual (yes, I read the whole thing! I got the machine just before a trip to Mexico, and the only way I could "enjoy" my new toy was vicariously, by taking the manual and reading it on the beach!) I must have raised some eyebrows, but I was too engrossed to notice!

Thanks for your comment! I agree that sometimes you need to re-read manuals... I certainly can't take it in all at one reading...Originally posted by kathyst2Lisa, taking the manual to the beach isn't so crazy, I would probably have done the same thing. Actually, I just took my camera manual to work to read on my lunch break. The camera is 7 years old but there were a couple of things I learned from re-reading!
