    Babylock Quest

DH and I just put a Babylock Quest on layaway! It's my Christmas present. OOOHH!!! I think I'm in love. 8)
Does anyone else have this machine and can tell me whether or not they like it?

Come on! Isn't there anyone out there that has this machine? What about other Babylock models? A friend on another list told me that their customer service isn't so good. Any opinions?

I've been looking at this model also. Please share whether you like your new machine or not. I have the Babylock Ellure. I like it alright but would like a machine designed more for the quilter (me) than the embroiderer (not me).

Am looking at Babylock Espire (more $$$$ than my budget), Babylock Quest (better $$$) and and Brother QC1000 (again $$$$). I read about some problems with the Quest on patternreview.com. Folks are saying they have difficulty with the reverse stitch and that putting in the bobbin is rather cumbersome until you get used to it.

Good luck. I'll be anxious to hear your opinion.

Good Morning Eileen I have an ellagio, and love it, I use mine for machine embroidery!! I think the service depends on where you buy your machine!! The service where I bought my machine is the best. Erik, who does my machine listens and takes care of my machine like it was his. If you have a good relationship with your dealer, that makes all the difference.

Eileen how exciting to be getting a new machine...... Please keep us posted on how well you like it. I am interested in the dual feed feature as well as the stitch quality.

I just went out and picked up the BabyLock Quest last night on the way home from work, It is my first computerized machine so it is taking me more time to get to know, but I think we will be happy for quite awhile. Eileen how are you liking your machine? Anything I should know, or watch for?

                Eileen and Peter,

One of my dearest friends is a National Sewing Specialist for Babylock and thinks these machines are fabulous. I don't have one, but she can't say enough good about them. I hope you both enjoy yours a lot.

                  Peter and Dana,
Life got in the way of my picking up my machine. Our daughter had an auto accident(she's okay)and we had to help the other party pay for the car so they wouldn't have to go through insurance.
So, I'm still in a waiting mode-I'm going crazy!!

                    Eileen,
So sorry to hear about your daughters accident, I'm glad she is OK.
And sorry you have to wait on the new machine I think it will be worth the wait. This has been a Bernina house for many years (my housemate, Kc, quilts too) and we are both very happy with the Quests performance so far. Kc just used it to quilt in the ditch and she was VERY impressed with the walking foot feature.

                      Peter,
I got my machine
DH picked it up Monday and we unpacked that enormous box. I sat there and was able to wind my first bobbin and thread that baby! Now all I have to do is sit down and sew. I'm going to play around before I do anything important on it.

                          WOOHOO!!
I played with mine first too and then got additional practice finishing off a couple of tops that came out of the UFO pile. Haven't started anything "important" yet.

I am so glad you got your machine and hopfully you will have more time to play with it than I have had. We all want to see that first quilt on the new machine

Thank you! Don't be too jealous I got such a good deal (big sale at local dealer) I couldn't pass it up. Besides I live with my quilting friend (Kc123) and I think she has used it more than I have :?
