    couching foot

I had the #43 couching foot that I kept when I traded in my Bernina 200E for my 830LE, but the wire gadget to guide the thread didn't work for the 8 series. Today, I bought the wire guide for that foot for the 8 series, but it came with absolutely no insturctions, and it's a puzzle to me how to put it in. Does anyone out there have this installed on their 8 series machine? I can't even tell which end goes in the machine or where to try it. I did an Internet search to try to find the answer, and all I get are videos and discussions about the foot itself. :? Help, please.

BJ, look in the "Thru the Needle" magazine #13. This is a free download from Bernina.
On page 11, Susan Beck explains and also has a picture of it on the 830.

So glad that helped. I got my 830LE for valentines day 2011. First one at my dealers and have never had one problem.
Such a wonderful machine, love it to bits.

 Me too! It IS a wonderful machine, I've not had any problems with mine either. Now I can use the couching foot.
