B830 is coming home with me
Dear lovely quilters ,
I truly appreciate all the replies I had received with any question that I had posted.
That actually help me to decide to upgrade my 2 months old B550QE to B830.
I ordered it yesterday and now I am doing my count down ....
Any advise about what software SH I get ?
My package in Singapore given is not as rosy as those in United state .
We don't have retreat or V6 software .....
Embroidery will be next thing to learn.
Of course quilting is my passion but since it comes with embroidery function , why not learn it too
All expert quilters , please share with me what are the pro n cons I will be facing.
Cheers,
Lili

Congratulations! I had not embroidered before I bought the 830. I wasn't sure how much I would do, but wanted the option to have it. I have enjoyed it and have made a few projects. Bernina offers tons of webinars on using the 830. All the past ones can be accessed in a number of places and downloaded to watch at your convenience. Sign up for bernina_series8 yahoo group and they have them all there.

The URL for the Bernina 830 Yahoo Group is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bernina_series8/ and another site I found useful when first learning how to use my 830 was http://www.exnovodesign.com. Enjoy your 830--when I bought mine, I never looked back and it is a joy to sew with it.

Congratulations on your new 830.
I bought mine a year ago and absolutely love it! Great machine.
I've been doing embroidery and quilting. Went through a lot of trial and error, so keep us posted.
I do wish they offered online video courses on the mastery classes. It may have saved me some trials...
If you ever need help we're here.
Enjoy!
