That's the one, Norma. I'm sure they were making shirts. It was really interesting to see art and industrial production only separated by some panes of glass. My father's family originally comes from the area very close to the German/Danish border. So the family was either German or Danish, depending who had won the most recent war. I have always loved your country and your people! From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood

Jill, ask my friends and family.... I'm infamous for going off on tangents.
I just wish I had taken photographs at the time. But in the 60s it was 'real' film and that was expensive. I could only afford two films for that wonderful time I spent in Herning. From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood

Loechen, you did find it and what beautiful photos from the area. I have always loved the combination of art and production. Well, now it's most art. I have been there several times.
What I really fell in love with did not exist, when you were there. It's called The Geometric Gardens and here is a link for you

It's the complexity of the simplicity. The one element is a 11 m long wall. You start with one, then for every room you add one more. I remember the walls being 6 or 8 m tall and you can't see the overview, when you are walking in the rooms, but you soon begin to count and I always get touched by this brilliant idea. The architect was not concerned about planting in each room. There has been some suggestions, but they were never realized. I must mention that there are axes where you can look through several rooms.
Here on the Forum you can learn about many things and now you get the opportunity to read Danish too
