:?: I'm feeling distraught! I've heard a "rumour" that Bernina are discontinuing the 630... please tell me this isn't true! I'm saving as hard as I can to buy one... looks like I may have to save a bit faster...

I don't know about the rumour, but if it's true you may get a deal if they're trying to clear stock. I have a 630 and they're fabulous machines, definitely worth the investment.

Thanks Ali... I've contacted a few dealers here in Australia but they're yet to get back to me. It's difficult to phone during work hours so I may have to visit them this weekend and see what they say... Alas, the Bernina Australia site gives not details... not even a "contact us" option!

Great News! I just got an email back from a Bernina dealer here in Australia... there is no truth to the rumour Bernina are discontinuing the Artista 630... I can go back to my "saving"! Phew...

Good luck with the saving, you won't regret buying one of these machines. Keep an eye out with your dealers, they do have special offers from time to time. One of my friends bought one recently (in the UK) and got a free embroidery unit with it, I'm am pea green with envy :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

. The embroidery units are retailing at £650 at the moment, I think I'll stick to borrowing hers :wink:

you will like the Bernina 630. I got the floor model at a significant savings in June.It came with the BSR and embroidery module. You could ask your dealer when they will be changing out the floor models. Dixie

I'm now a Bernina Babe! I got my Artista 630...they were having a "deal" at the craft fair in Brisbane. I didn't get the embroidery module as that doesn't interest me. The quality is outstanding and it FMQ's like a dream ... no broken thread, no missed stitches and that's without the BSR! I'm so happy!

I'm currently in New Zealand on holiday... I miss my Bernina! I did manage to get some playtime in before our hols... so far I'm very impressed with it... I've still got a week off work on our return so I plan to get some serious fun time in with "Bernie"!
