    BSR problems

I am having difficulty using my BSR. I've had it for a number of years and always have the same problem. Out of the clear blue it will just start racing and the warning signal will go off that I'm moving the quilt too quickly. However, I'm barely moving it and not changing speed. Has anyone else had this problem?

Can you take it to your Bernina Dealer? It sounds like there is some kind of hardware (connection) problem.
When you bring it to the dealer bring a quilt and see if you can get the BSR to do race so they can see what's happening.

I must have missed this topic, I just posted a similar question twice, not knowing how to post- mine does not take off in the middle , it is when I start it up with the button, I have set it on the fastest speed, and when it starts it goes at a moderate speed at times, and other times it willstart out just racing.

This also happens to me. It seem as if the BSR goes through a cycle of working good then starts speeding up. This happens for a while and then goes back to working the way it should. I find that if I turn the machine off and then back on (kind of like re-booting your computer), it seems to work fine - until a few more hours of sewing. It also just stops working occasionally. When this happens I again turn the machine off and on. I find that working very slow makes it work the best. I guess it can't take too many instructions at one time. Jan

Wasn't there an update for machines last year that affected the BSR? I agree, see the dealer.
