problem with embroidery unit

I finally learned how to save art files onto my Bernina USB stick. Now my embroidery unit doesn't want to cooperate. It will be sewing along fine then all of a sudden it goes out in left field, or doesn't recognize what hoop and where it is suppose to be sewing. Does anyone know what I can do to tell it what to do?

i havent had that problem yet. it took me awhile to learn how to download to a usb stick. i got a 1 gig usb stick at office depot and it works great. karen

I was using the wrong foot. It was an embroidery foot, but not the one you are suppose to use with the unit. It got jammed and made some strange sounds. I am going to have to take in to be repaired. I'm sad.
