    Okay, Count me in!

I have always liked the look of pineapple quilts, but I have not made one. Recently I had to move my fabric stash and I realized have a LOT of fabric that needs to be USED. I just ordered the book and the ruler. Count me in!

Oh yeah, I'm in. I already have the ruler and book and scraps cut. It was going down memory lane, looking at some of those pieces of fabric. Kathy

I am on Facebook, but how nice to have a forum here to read. I have the book on order and I hope to get the ruler soon too. I HAVE to do something with these scraps and I hope the pineapple will help.

I have the book and ruler and have made one block. Anxious to do more. One of my very favorites is a pineapple quilt done by Fredye Moran (sp) She used black
centers and red for four sections and scraps for the rest, it's stunning! In one of her books but I forget which.

Sounds like a lively and fun quilt. I'm looking forward to seeing what people end up making!

Hey! You can count on me too! I'll be stopping by here and there. I have my mind wrapped around doing a new pineapple coloring with a William Morse scrap collection given to me by Jean Ann Wright. Okay, so I begged for it! I'm starting in Jan 1, 2012.

Me, too! I've loved Gyleen's Pineapple Blocks since I saw the display at Houston a year or two ago. Finally got the book and ruler so now it is on the To Do list right after ...the HST exchange quilt, the unfinished TQS BOMs for 2009 and 2010 and... well you all know how that goes. On the bright side I am definitely collecting lots of scraps for this project!

Oh boy, what a day! I had to take my son to see a doctor, and it kind of took all day. His ears and eyes are infected, (quite badly, said doctor). Now he has medication, and I can rest a bit. (Did not sleep well last night worrying he has pneumonia, so sick he was yesterday.)
So fun to start something new! Pineapples, yes! As soon as I watched that episode (great episode I must say), I ordered myself pineapple ruler and hexagon template. I have been happily sewing grandmother's flower garden. Butterfly seam is my kind of technique, I love it! So perfect seams.
I have not tried my pineapple ruler yet, but after this Christmas-fuzz is over, I will try. I think I will use some old shirts and other clothing and make pillow case. I know it will wear out soon and there are different weight fabrics, but maybe this is truly trash to treasure experience!

I love pineapple quilts and would love to do this, but will need to wait until the New Year to see if I can squeeze another project in!

Ok,Ok....ordered the book and ruler right away and made myself put in on the shelf so
as to get some Christmas things done, but.... it kept callin' me and so here's
a practice quilt-y straight from the scrap box at my sewing table. I had to add
from larger leftovers for borders. I pieced the floral squares...Yikes ! where they
came from I do not know !!! And a friend gave me another ruler and book
to try and THAT led to odd on-point center block !I'll stick with Guyleens'! Went
fast, used lots of stuff...kinda fun !! More to come! Opps ! got two !! :?
