QUILTERS SELECT RULERS
Has anyone had trouble with their Quilter Select rulers? I love these rulers first off. I've starting working on some pieced 6.5 blocks which are so fun and I'm trading with a good friend. My issue is my blocks keep coming up a smidge small which is so frustrating. I've readjusted my scant 1/4 inch seam over and over. Nothing I did seemed to help. Out of desperation I finally measured my ruler. Remember this is a new rule I just bought traveling several weeks ago at one of a favorite shop. My new 6.5 x 24 inch ruler is about 1/16 of an inch small. This isn't much but as quilters we know if you're sewing several seams within a block your cutting as to be accurate. I made 2 different blocks with my Quilter Select ruler and 2 of the same blocks with my old brand ruler. Yes the Quilter Select blocks were small. My other 2 blocks were perfect. I didn't change any setting on my sewing machine and used a guide for my 1/4 in seam. I'm so disappointed. I love these new rulers....I mean I love them. Now I'm totally discouraged from using them. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?Tags: None

Becky, I have the quilters select 3 x 12 inch ruler, and I tried it against rulers that I have from other brands. It seemed to be sized correctly. That's the only QS ruler I have, so I can't say if any other the others are off. My troubles are mostly due to finding my good quarter inch seam, or cutting the piece wrong in the first place! I hope there are others out there who can give you more info.

Becky, The only Quilters Select ruler I have is a 6 by 6 inch square I got as a TQS gift when renewing my membership a couple years back.It is exactly the same size as my Omni Grid 6 inch square. I typed Quilters Select Rulers into google search and the website came up. On the home page is a box that says Contact Us. I took a screen shot of the
into. You might give them a call. I would think they might replace the ruler and give you an return label so you can send your ruler back so they can try to figure out what
went wrong. Good Luck. HelenW

Thanks for your input Kathy. I agree normally I have to adjust my 1/4 inch as well. This time I adjusted over and over . Finally I stacked the Quilters Select on all sides with my Creative Grid. This where I could see it was close or over 1/16 inch smaller on the width. When you have several seams within a block it adds up on the finished size. I’m a bit frustrated but back using my Creative Grid ruler with no issue.
