New use for large rotary cutter
I was watching the guys struggling to cut insulation today. They were using utility knives and taking a really long time to make a simple cut. I then went into the house got my oldest ruler ( no sense using a new one) my oldest & stained cutting mat and my 60 mm rotary cutter... ( It was new with a new blade, but my DH is going to give me the money for a new one, since he lost the bet.) I then told the boys to get out of my way while I cut the batting.... with expertise and only one swipe of my rotary cutter I cut through the insulation.... YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE LOOK ON THE GUY's FACES... I wish I had a camera with me.
Needless to say they all want 60mm rotary cutters... I printed off 40% coupons and pointed them on their way to the nearest JoAnn's.Tags: None

It's really great when you get a chance to teach the guys something that helps them. It would have been even funnier had you first told them that you think you have a better way of cutting it! Way to go!
Now, just how did you get 40% off coupons that you printed?

P. S. I've already forgotten your name, is it Anna?

JoAnn Fabrics has a sign up for coupons on there web pages... sometime you have to go through all the advertisements and current sale information to find it but it is there.... try googling JOANN FABRIC COUPONS..
YOU will then have to sign up... sometime they ask for a market survey but once you are on the list it is hard to fall off...
They also have a SEND TO A FRIEND FEATURE that you can use to get others to sign up... some of the guild girls email each other the coupons all the time
http://www.joann.com/joann/
this is an official jo ann fabric site ... look for the box SIGN UP FOR SPECIAL SAVING BY EMAIL.... Be sure any of the sites you go to is an official site otherwise the coupon might not be valid... the codes are not always legal on the DISCOUNT COUPON SITES.
Hope this helps

Anna, I have tried in the past to sign up for Joann's email but for some reason, nothing ever came through. I signed up again and we will see if I do receive email coupons. I received the snail mail coupons but sometimes you get a really good deal on batting, free shipping etc if you buy the whole roll that could last you for a year. Judy in AZ

It's funny I should find this thread now. I had a guy in my house replacing some drywall last week, and when I saw him trying to cut the drywall with a utility knife (cutting TOWARDS himself!), I went and got an old rotary cutter and gave it to him. His eyes nearly popped out when I showed him what it could do!
I winced a little when he put it in his shirt pocket, because it was the original style that can come uncovered. But hey, I did warn him about it, and he's a grown man.
I couldn't believe I knew something a very experienced handyman didn't!
