Busy thursday
I have PTO presentations to give, eye doctor appointments, soccer practice for my oldest, and preschool and 4K for the younger two. Should be a lot of running to and from today. Though it should be fun. I love watching my oldest play soccer as he is just learning, but they are so cute.
Yesterday I finished hand piecing the block I am doing for guild. I am trying to decide if I should give them each a background pice of black so that the blocks are uniform. I also need to check to see if I have enough black to do that. I think this would help as I know some are leary of black as a background because there are so many varying degrees of black as a color. I am thinking on this.
Have a great day everyone.

Yup, sounds like you will be busy, Stacey! I enjoyed it when my son played soccer, too. He had a smile pasted to his face the whole time. Then he switched to basketball (didn't enjoy that so much) and then finally hockey which he really liked.
No sewing for me today. Work and then chuch service at 7:00 for Lent. Tomorrow it's work again. Maybe on the weekend I can get some sewing and/or applique done.

My brothjer is currently having heart surgery. Part I went well and they are doing Part II now. Please pray everything goes well. He has A-fib and they are trying to correct the problem so he doesn't need drugs for the rest of his life.
I really can't concentrate well on much else. I went to work but left early. I did what I had to do then left. It still wasn't a total waste.
Maybe I'll be able to sew later tonight when he's out of surgery.
Take care.
Please say some prayers for my brother.

Lyn, prayers for your brother on the way!
I cut the pieces for my BOM block, so hope to piece that tonite as well as get a little more done on the wedding quilt. I'd love to have both wedding quilts done by the first of June so I can "show & tell" them at guild - we'll see!
Hugs,
Darce

Lyn my prayers are with you.
We have been doing good getting through this day. I even got a little bag sewed together. It isn't perfect, but I thought maybe I would try to make a couple more and I will get better with the folding and how to do it more crisp as it is an oragami folded bag. It is cute still though.
