Great Monday Morning
Good morning everyone. I do hope you have had a wonderful relaxing but productive weekend. I pretty much played in my studio this weekend. Finished quilting the antique quilt for a friend and then quilted two table toppers for another friend. Plus I was able to watch the football games yesterday.....GO PACKERS. It should be a great game in Dallas. The Steelers played a good game yesterday too. Just to be fair.....go Steelers. I will be mailing out February Birthday FQs to start the year out. When you receive them, please let me know they arrived.Tags: None

Was there a weekend? Huh. I worked most of it - Sat morn at my regular job, Sat afternoon doing payroll quarterlies and year end reports for a friend's business (I get free freshly bottled on the farm milk) and Sunday afternoon at our church office straightening out some issues. :? Sigh. I did get into my sewing room a little tho and got bindings on a table topper and wallhanging I'd finished late last fall. That's a great feeling. I also pulled fabrics for a baby quilt and lined up a couple more projects to work on at retreat this coming weekend. This morning I have my annual physical - good to get that over with.

I actually got some sewing done this weekend. I finished a rabbit baby quilt. I'm not sure who will recieve this one. It is adorable. I also finished piecing the 50th year teapot quilt for my sil. I think I may envelope finish it so it gets done faster. I was planning on just doing some simple outline quilting and stitch around the blocks.
DD#3 called a couple of times. This is the happiest I have heard her at school. There hae been some roommate issues, but she'd living with the situation and learning a lot about people. She has been going through rush and recieved a bid from her favorite sorority. She seems to be very happy. I was glad to see her to go out of her comfort zone and meet new people. Before she went back to school, we were notified that she was invited to join a women's honor fraternity because of her grades. I think she is finding her niche for now. It's hard loosing the baby but good to she her grow and mature into a resonsible person.
Most of this week will be spent working- end of the month etc. As long as the snow storms miss us and I can get to work safely I'll be happy.
Stay warm everyone.
Hugs and prayers for all.
Lyn

Good evening all -
We attended friends 50th anniversary party Saturday afternoon - then out to dinner with our CA kids and grandkids afterward. Spent the day yesterday doing laundry and laptop work from the office.
I'd planned to attend the RD2CA quilt show but couldn't squeeze out the time.

I took a bus to Road2CA on Friday with a local guild. Great way to see a show without fighting the Los Angeles traffic. I didn't buy a lot, mostly threads and needles for my longarm. Many new vendors and a lot of the old ones weren't there.
I am working on a challenge from Stroll the block. We were sent a fq and had to do something with it before the end of February. I finally started cutting up my fabric. I think my project is coming along fine.
It is definitely winter here. The tule fog was making driving home from work very scary. Yuck!

Good Tuesday morning all! Finally found my way over here and it is good to see a lot of familiar names. I've finally found my sewing room again after the holidays. I started last week working on a Christmas quilt last week, cut all the fabric and have all the blocks made, waiting to be sewn into rows! A queen size quilt almost done!!! Guess freezing weather and snow make for good quilting time, LOL

Good Tuesday evening, feels good to see familiar names! My DD#2 was here for the weekend and my 8 yr old DGD stayed overnight on Sun. Not a lot of sewing got done but we played lots of games and did lots of laughing. Eight is a great age! Today I worked on a few blocks for a Birthday swap and a block for the outgoing guild President's quilt. With close to 50 inches of snow on the ground, we are awaiting another 9 - 12 inches overnight on Wed. Hope we keep our power for the crockpot and sewing machine!
