When we originally planned the trip, I did not realize that the dates would fall beautifully. Sharon pointed out to me that I would actually be in Denver when the Denver Quilt Show was on - a real treat. It was absolutely brilliant to meet Nancy and Sharon. It felt like we have been friends for years and years. I so hope that we can meet again sometime, somewhere in the world. You two rock!!

Rosemary (and anybody else who can meet me), you can look at ALL of my photos..... It'll take some time!

I'm sure there must be areas in the US that are 'average', but the Southwest is rather special. I kept finding myself in places that had a spiritual feel about it (No, I did not suffer from altitude sickness).

I'll be at Festival of Quilts in Birmingham in August and will bring my fotos with me, if anybody wants to have a look.

I have just tried to add a few more photos, but I'm giving up. Over 25 minutes should be long enough to load 3 pictures.

Lorchen, I agree with your statement about places having a spiritual feel to them. I particularly have felt that at the Grand Canyon. It's hard to explain but it was awesome in the deepest, truest sense of the word.From the photos you posted it looks as if you were at the Grand Canyon. I am glad you had such a wonderful time.

Lorchen, thanks for the little package I received from you while you were on vacation. I think it is wonderful. Sorry, camera is broke now. I will need to get it fixed or replaced.

Our country is very diverse. The southwest is beautiful, but so are all the other areas. I guess you will have to come back again someday!! Just goes to show who the best Creator is.
