I wish I could go but our son's situation and finances prevent any big trips. Hopefully, things will be on track for either next year or 2015. Give Alex and Ricky hugs from all of us.

I'd love to plan to go some year my international TQS quilting friends (Lorchen, Chinese Whisper Sisters, Terry from Canada and more) could be there. Another year will be better for me. But to be sure I will enjoy it from afar this year and will be quite grateful for personal reports from all my TQS friends. Thank you in advance. Have your cameras ready and your finger nimble on your keypads to keep us all well informed.
I know I'm beyond blessed to be moving back to Houston. I will take loads of pictures when I begin attending, I promise. How did I not realize you live in the path of Sandy??? I am so sorry. We are well used to hurricane issues, that's for sure. Some parts of Houston are still recovering from Ike....:sigh:....

Fortunately, my home and community suffered no damage from Sandy. All flights were canceled out of the NE and by the time I could rebook a flight my classes were over and it was time to come home. It will work out another time.

oh, that makes sense. I'm glad you at least weren't in the path of destruction, and hope that when it *does* work out for you to get to Houston, we can spend some time together! I'd so love to meet you

Margarita, I totally sympathize and hope you feel better soon. It sure puts a damper on quilting, doesn't it?

I'd love to go to Houston, but get sick every time I go on an airplane and am in a large crowd, so I look forward to everyone's pictures.

My bad luck, I had to go to Jacksonville, TX on Monday, came home on Tuesday, and it was too early to go to the festival in Houston I did realize it isn't that long a drive, so I am planning on going next year. So sorry I couldn't make it this year. Wishing you all a great time.
