The MAQF in Hampton, Virginia, is the 23-26 of this month and I'm going. I'm wondering if anyone else here is going? I'd love to meet some of my TQS friends. I'm taking classes on Wednesday and Thursday, but am just seeing the show on Friday...anyone?

Betty Jo, I am seriously planning to go on Friday. Since it is a long drive alot will depend on the weather. I would be arriving late morning and leaving Friday as I need to be in PA on Sat. I will let you know for sure closer to next week, would really like to meet you, PatComment

Oh super. Well, truth be told, my attendance depends on the weather too since I'm coming down from Ashburn, VA. But I'm hopeful it will be just fine. Hope to see you both there!

Betty Jo, I am glad you found some folks going to the show. I am hoping to get to the AQS show in Lancaster in March. That is probably closer to you than Hampton. Are you going to that as well? Not sure which day I will go. Lancaster is less than a 2 hour drive for me. Lois

Lois, I may be going to that as well. Haven't decided yet (my small mermaid quilt is in that one), though I have hotel reservations already. The only problem is it is really soon after I come back from MAQF. It's closer than the MAQF to me just a bit. Regardless, we live close enough that I expect our paths to eventually cross.

OK, while I really am hoping to make it to VA, I am also planning on going to AQS in Lancaster. Lancaster is much closer for me but I have never been to the VA show. So, weather pending maybe we can all meet somewhere??? I'll be in touch, PatComment

Oh sigh. I decided afterall not to go. It IS a long drive and I've been fighting with a sinus thing that is slow to go away. Plus I want to buy a few gadgets for my studio and I can get them all and have some leftover for just what the gas and hotel would cost. Have fun, those of you who do go. Sorry to say, but I will not be going either, I will be traveling to NJ tomorrow to visit my mother and then PA on Saturday. With the price of gas, maybe VA another year. But definitely planning AQS in Lancaster in March, enjoy!Comment
